The basic operation at Scholars without Borders is as follows:
Choose the books you want. The price for each book is the list price in India, in Indian Rupees. (A currency converter is on our website for you to figure out what they cost in your local currency.)
Choose the delivery mode you want. Within India we send books by Registered PRINTED MATTER. Outside India, AIR MAIL BOOK POST and AIR MAIL PARCEL are two possibilities. The difference between these is that the Indian Post requires that AIR MAIL BOOK POST packages be open on one side so that the books are clearly visible. AIR MAIL PARCEL can be completely covered. We pack books in clingwrap in any case, so being open on one side is not an issue…
Speed Post. DHL or UPS are also possibilities and charges for these are also at Indian rates. You can choose Speedpost on the site, but for Courier, you will need to write to us.
Choose the payment mode that suits you best: From either WITHIN or OUTSIDE India, we accept credit cards or direct bank transfer to either of our bankers. Here are the details.

If you must send an OUTSTATION Cheque (please don’t unless it is really unavoidable!) please add Rs 50.
Credit card payment is via the CCAvenue Gateway, which is a secure payment method. They charge a fee of 8% for each transaction.
You pay for the books+shipping by Paypal, credit card, direct bank transfer, or cheque (please add Rs 50 for cheques drawn on banks outside Delhi), and we ship them out to you once we get the confirmed payment. This might take a few days for cheques, but it is immediate for the credit card payment. If you transfer funds to our bank account, send us an email along with deposit details.
